Mēs aicinām Tevi šajā izpētes ekskursijā uz spocīgi grezno Tskaltubo SPA kūrortu, kas uzplaukuma laikus piedzīvoja Padomju Savienības laikā, pēc Otrā Pasaules Kara. Šī vieta ir slavena ar tās neparasti dziedinošo minerālo ūdeni un radona vannām. Kādreiz šo vietu gadā apmeklēja aptuveni 125 000 cilvēku un pašam Staļinam te piederēja privātā brīvdienu māja. Tur tika uzceltas aptuveni 20 marmora sanatorijas ar iekšdārziem, peldbaseiniem, vannu mājām un viesnīcas ar teātriem. Kūrorta galvenais mērķis joprojām ir ārstēt asinsrites, nervu, muskuļu, kaulu sistēmas, kā arī ginekoloģiskās un ādas slimības.
Taču diemžēl tad, kad Padomju Savienības laiks bija beidzies, šī vieta zaudēja tās apmeklētājus un arī spozmi. Mūsdienās to apmeklē tikai aptuveni 1000 cilvēku gadā. Daudzas ēkas pamazām tika pamestas, bet dažas no tām joprojām apdzīvo cilvēki, kuri tika pārvietoti no Abhāzijas pēc bruņotā konflikta šajā reģionā.
Valdība drīz plāno atjaunot visas Tskaltubo sanatoriju ēkas, ap dažām no tām jau ir uzstādīti nožogojumi un dažas no tām ir bīstami apmeklēt.

“Last week was my first experience with Camp Caucasus and first experience with mountain walking tour and camping in general. In this case the organisers showed a high level of professionality organising these kind of camps. 1) organizational part was up to point; 2) organisers communicated with us properly before the camp to inform what to bring with us/what not to bring/what to expect/ what we will eat etc. in all aspects so I felt prepared; 3)in mountains we can never predict the weather percisely and I liked that organisers were open minded to change something in our scedual so we don't miss the most beautiful sights. 4) One thing I did not prepare myself was that the hiking in mountains was actually hard for me ( and I'm trained :), so be prepared physically. Another thing I did not prepare myself was generosity of Georgian people and a LOT of tasty food there. 🙃”
